Police and intelligence agencies on Saturday took three Germans into custody in Peshawar and sent them to Islamabad. Police sources said law enforcing agencies personnel raided their residence at University Town- Peshawar where the Germans were residing illegally and took them into custody after sealing the residence to send them to to Islamabad. Sources said that the foreigners identified as Roloff Shmith, Kriston Wild and Lorez were staying at Park Lane at University Town and did not possess legal documents. Police asked them to show their travel documents, which they were unable to produce and therefore their passports were seized. It was learnt that the foreigners had wavered between relating themselves to German embassy and introducing themselves as NGO workers. Sources said Kriston Wild was a serving German Army colonel and had served in Kosovo and Kabul and been stationed at Peshawar for the last few months illegally. SP Cantonment Dr Mian Muhammad Saeed said all the three Germans were sent to Islamabad for further interrogation.
