The Sunni Ulema Youth Council (SUYC), Islamabad/Rawalpindi chapter, on Saturday staged a peaceful demonstration at GPO Chowk, Saddar, demanding the government to arrest Mansoor Ijaz on his arrival in Pakistan.
Hundreds of protesters, under the banner of the SUYC, were chanting slogans against Mansoor Ijaz while condemning his attempt to destabilise Pakistan through the memogate scandal. They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against Mansoor Ijaz while calling him an agent of Israel. They said Mansoor Ijaz was a Qadiyani who could never be sincere with Pakistan. They said a dangerous plot against Pakistan and its institutions was going on.
The protesters also condemned the recent act of obscenity carried out by him which was reported by various national dailies the other day.
This protest in Rawalpindi was second in a row by the SUYC. Earlier, a similar type of protest was held at the National Press Club, Islamabad, last Sunday under the supervision of Rashed Shah Naqshbandi, head of Sunni Ulema Youth Council, Islamabad/Rawalpindi chapter. In his exclusive talk, Rashed Shah Naqshbandi said that Qadiani lobby had a history of indulging in such vulgar, un-Islamic and unethical activities. Since inception of Pakistan, Qadianis were bent upon to destabilise Pakistan and we should rise against such activities. Naqshbandi maintained that the SUYC would keep this momentum alive with full throttle “until we succeed in our very own national and religious objective.” The protesters peacefully dispersed after the protest.
