Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, who has recently been appointed as the eight Pir Pagara, was elected the new central president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) at a party meeting in Pir Goth Khairpur Mirs on Saturday.
The meeting was attended by PML-F acting central president Khan Sultan Mehmood, Central Secretary General Anwer Shaikh, president of the party’s Sindh chapter Sadarudin Shah Rashidi, president of Punjab chapter Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood, President of Balochistan chapter Musharraf Khan Khoso and other members of the party’s central committee.
During the meeting, a resolution on making Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, also known as Raja Saein, the new central president of the party was unanimously passed.
He is the second president of the PML-F. Shah Mardan Shah II was the founder and the first president of the party.
After the seventh Pir Pagara’s death in London during treatment, the Hur Jamaat had appointed his eldest son Sibghatullah the new Pir Pagara.
