Musharraf accuses India of harming Pakistan

Former president Pervez Musharraf said on Saturday that India was hatching behind the scene conspiracies to weaken Pakistan.
“India is hatching secret conspiracies to erode foundations of Pakistan and put our national security at stake. The motive behind her plot is to dominate Pakistan after weakening it. When the concern of domination comes to fore, it implies some country occupies other country through invasion”, he said in an interview with a UK daily.
Pervez Musharraf cautioned if India would continue to pursue this policy then no normalization could ever come in the relations of Pakistan and India.
“During my tenure, I had taken firm steps to improve ties with India. Pakistan had given message to India by showing flexibility in its policy that it was sincere to resolve all outstanding issues with India”, he added.
He went on to say Pakistan and India although were close neighbors but the bitterness is growing day by day between them rather than scaling down. The main reason behind it is Indian intransigence, he observed.
He remarked India was not sincere in addressing Kashmir problem nor was it making clear its policy on Pakistan in this respect. Both Pakistan and India should bury the past and think about future, he stressed. They should come close to each other by resolving all the outstanding issues through dialogue, he urged.
“If it happens so then not only peace will prevail in sub continent but also the two countries will be able to play pivotal role at international level”, he remarked.
