A middle-aged man was found dead in mysterious circumstances from an empty plot in the Chohng Police Station precincts on Thursday. According to details, the locals of Shomali Muhalla Chohng found the body of an unidentified man in a plot and informed the police, who reached the spot and took the body in their custody. The police suspected that the deceased had died of taking excessive drugs.
8 persons looted of cash, mobile phones: Cash and mobile phones worth thousands of rupees were looted in different parts of city on Thursday. Asghar Ali, an employee of a multinational company, was looted in Defence B Police Station precincts. The robbers snatched Rs 75,000 and two mobile phones from his possession at gun point after stopping his car and fled from the crime scene.
In Rustam Park, within Samanabad Police Station precincts, dacoits deprived Tayyab Butt of cash and a mobile phone. In the Rang Mahal, Satto Katla and Islampura Police Stations’ precincts, Gulzar, Sagheer and Javaid lost their mobile phones and cash to robbers, respectively.
Meanwhile, swindlers also looted three persons, including a woman, after intoxicating them in the areas of Bibi Pak Daman, Lorry Adda and Shera Kot, respectively. The victims Azra Batool, Khurram and Javed were shifted to hospital for treatment after they were found unconscious.
Fire claims valuables: Valuables worth of thousands of rupees was reduced to ashes in a fire broke out on Thursday in Baghbanpura. According to details, house of Aslam in Mohalla Sadhu located at G T Road near Pakistan Minute came under fire when a burning candle fell from its place during hours of load shedding. The fire was later controlled by fire fighters after reaching at spot on information of flames.
