CIA torture victim laid to rest

The body of deceased Naimat Ali, who was allegedly tortured to death by CIA officials, bore marks and bruises of torture, the doctors of the medical board that had conducted the autopsy of Ali’s body revealed on Thursday.
They also said it could not be ascertained if Ali had died of torture or not, adding that they were waiting for the results of forensic and chemical examinations to reach a final conclusion.
Earlier a medical board of Mian Munshi Hospital in the leadership of Mian Munshi Hospital MS Mian Shafqat reached Mayo Hospital at about 2pm and took about an hour to conduct initial autopsy of Ali’s body.

Police handed the body over the heirs, who laid Ali to rest in a local graveyard.
Muhammad Muneer, brother in law of deceased Niamat, after funerals told Pakistan Today that Hadyara Police Investigations Wing officials were cooperating with them since the chief minister had taken notice of the matter. He said the in charge had visited them personally and had assured them that an action would be taken against the accused officials. He said the other four men who were kidnapped by the CIA had also visited them and had assured him of their full support. They also confirmed the fact that Ali had been tortured by the CIA officials.
