The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) claimed to have arrested a Pakistan Army officer impersonator during a raid in Malir Cantt on Thursday. Superintendent of Police Ghulam Subhani said a considerable number of public complaints led them to conduct the raid in which Maqsood Shah was arrested with a car (ANY-780), a Kalashnikov and several rounds. As the director of a private hospital, Shah was swindling people by pretending to be an army officer, said Subhani. He said the AVCC has also recovered service uniforms of brigadier and general from the impersonator.
