The Indian parliamentary delegation, upon conclusion of the two-day Pakistan-India Parliamentarians Dialogue-III on Wednesday, issued a joint statement stressing a comprehensive economic framework for cooperation should be initiated to realise the full potential of economic cooperation between India and Pakistan.
The statement was presented to Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani at the PM’s Secretariat by Dialogue Co-Chairs Senator SM Zafar and Yashwant Sinha. Copies of the joint statement were also presented to Federal Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar. The two-day dialogue meeting was arranged by the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT). Speaking on the occasion, PILDAT Executive Director Ahmed Bilal Mehboob thanked the PM for his government’s support and the continuing support of both two houses of parliament for making the dialogue successful.
