Roots School System Executive Director Walid Mushtaq has won the Global CEO Excellence Award in 4 categories, said a recent press release issued on Wednesday. Walid was the proud recipient of the “Award in Innovation in Education”, “Visionary Education Leader Award”, “Director of the year Award”, “Appreciation Award from Sindh Government”.
The event was conducted at the Avari Hotel Karachi on January 13, 2012 and was attended by eminent personalities from the corporate, business, industry and service sectors. The event was organised by the Global Media Links to honour and acknowledge the excellence of CEOs and high ranking managers and directors, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities. Minister for Industries and Commerce Rauf Siddique was the chief guest on the occasion.
This high profile award is a testament to Walid Mushtaq’s outstanding contributions and tremendous innovations in the education sector of Pakistan. A firm believer of globalisation, Walid has successfully collaborated with Intel, Microsoft, University of Cambridge, University of London, WWF, Ministry of Environment, Confucius Centre, China, Goethe Institute, Germany, The Indus Entrepreneurs and the British Council’s Global School Partnership Programme, among other international partnerships. He is Pakistan’s youngest educationist to complete the National Security Workshop from the National Defence University. Recently, Walid was awarded the prestigious “Intel Appreciation Award” for promoting technological innovations in education. He has established a reputation for identifying and deploying technologies and bringing across academic reforms. Under his able leadership, the RSS continues to achieve more milestones.
