Khanewal to host PFF Referees Course

Khanewal will host Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Talent Acceleration Referee’s Course from January 20-24. Punjab Football Association (PFA), with the collaboration of PFF, will organize five-day Course during which 24 participants from various districts of Punjab will turn up for the course. The course being conducted by Mr. Naveed Bashir Butt as Technical Instructor will conclude on January 24. Mr. Rauf Bari will act as Technical Fitness Instructor and Mian Abdul Bari, Course Coordinator.
On the directives of PFF’s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat, PFF used to conduct such courses. It will be first of the five such courses in year 2012. Khanewal is the first one from January, 20-24 followed by Islamabad (March 12-16), Lahore (April 12-16), Peshawar (October 8-12) and Karachi (October 19-23) being the other, during which prominent AFC/PFF Referees instructors will give lectures to Under-24 Referees “The PFF Talent Referees Acceleration Program will equip referees with the knowledge and skills to take charge of the coming matches in Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), Pakistan PFF League and Age-Croup competitions. Most of the referees are new to the discipline and are therefore in need of the course to give them a solid platform for development.” said PFF Secretary General Lt. Col ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi TI (M). During the course, the referees will learn physical, practical and theoretical aspects of refereeing. The best referees may be asked to further develop their skills in the AFC Talent Acceleration Referees Course later on, AFC Project Future Program.
