IIUI officers’ body sworn in

The office bearers of the Officers’ Welfare Association (OWA), International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) were sworn in on Wednesday in a ceremony held at the main campus of the varsity.
IIUI Rector Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik was the chief guest while IIUI Vice President Professor Dr Sahibzada Sajidur Rehman presided over the ceremony. The new and old office bearers of the OWA, representatives of University Staff Welfare Association (USWA) and Academic Staff Welfare Association (ASWA) participated in the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Fateh Malik congratulated the new office bearers of the Officers Welfare Association (OWA) and said that human capital was the backbone of any organisation.
He appreciated the efforts of the outgoing OWA office bearers for the development of the university and advised the new ones to follow in their footprints. “The university will arrange more training programs to improve the capacity of the employees,” he said.
The newly elected president of the OWA, Raja Munir, vowed that his team would create a pleasant and effective working atmosphere at the campus. He said the association would work for the welfare of the officers, but his first priority would be the welfare of the university.
