Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the government respects and accords due honour to all institutions of the country.
Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court Building here on Thursday, Qamar Zaman Kaira said the respect for institutions could be witnessed by the PPP response to the order of Supreme Court. He said that it was a mark of respect for courts and it would help promote democratic traditions and rule of law in the country.
“We have come to Supreme Court to show our respect for it.”
Awami National Party (ANP) President Asfandyar Wali, who was also present on the occasion, said that the appearance of the prime minister before the Supreme Court showed that the PM has respect for the court and he could not opt for a contempt of court.
