Early completion of Bari Imam Complex ordered

Islamabad Chief Commissioner Tariq Mahmood Pirzada visited Bari Imam Shrine Complex on Wednesday and reviewed the ongoing construction work at the site.
He directed CDA Project Director Ayaz Khan and the contractor to further expedite the remaining construction and finishing work at the shrine, saying it should be completed within shortest possible time without further delay.
CDA Director General Works Naeem Iqbal Durrani, Director Development/Finance Rana Akbar Hayat Khan, Deputy Director Auqaf Malik Afsar Khan and Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Nouman Yousaf were also present on the occasion.
The project director, while giving a detailed briefing to the chief commissioner, said the physical structure of the shrine had been completed. The CDA officials told the commissioner that construction of dome was at final stages and it would be completed within seven days. Internal and outer finishing work of the structure along with marble flooring, landscaping and construction of toilets would also be undertaken very shortly. The chief commissioner also reviewed security arrangements made at the shrine and directed the area assistant commissioner to further beef up the security at the shrine. He also directed the assistant commissioner to check the quality of material of food being cooked outside the premises of shrine and ensure the quality of items being used in the process.Safety and security in preparation of food should also be ensured by introducing and issuing pass system.
