Tribal journalist gunned down in Charsadda

Renowned tribal journalist Mukaram Khan Atif was gunned down by unidentified gunmen at a mosque in the Shabqadar area of district Charsadda on Tuesday evening. He was 40. Sources said Atif had recently moved from Mohmand Agency to Charsadda.
He was offering evening prayers at a mosque near his house in Deppo Korona when he was gunned down.
He was shot in the head multiple times and succumbed to his wounds at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. Atif was affiliated with Dewa radio and also served as a correspondent with various newspapers.
He was active among tribal journalists and also served as a correspondent for Dunya News from Mohmand Agency.
