Police arrested eight bookies and recovered computers and other equipment from their possession during a raid on early Tuesday morning.
According to details, police on a tip-off raided the house of a bookie Umer Riaz, located in the Ali Park area of Nadirabad, and arrested the bookies who were gambling on the cricket match. Police also
recovered computers, LCDs, telephone sets and cash from the house.
In the preliminary interrogation, the detained persons have admitted their contacts with Indian bookmakers.
Police was interrogating the detained culprits and important revelations were expected.
