Cotton worth millions of rupees was burnt to ashes due a fire in a cotton warehouse, here on Wednesday.
According to police, fire erupted in a cotton warehouse located in the Korangi area due to unknown reasons. The high intensity fire spread rapidly due to the inflammable nature of cotton.
Fire tenders from all over the city were called in to extinguish the category III fire, and it was only after two hours hectic efforts that the fire was brought under control.
