Cold spell to continue

It remained partially cloudy with mild wind all day on Tuesday in the metropolitan, while the Met Office says weather will prevail till Sunday with some chances of scattered showers. Visibility was poor in the city, as thick clouds hovered in the sky, while cool breeze kept swirling adding to the cold spell. The met office claims “A new spell of cold will hit the city after Sunday, but the weather would mainly remain dry,” said a meteorologist, adding that more rain was needed to eradicate dryness from the air. “Yes! There is a prediction of rain but it would be scattered.” The Met Office says the spell of cool wind would remain unchanged till the start of next week, adding that the speed of the wind might decrease. The highest recorded temperature of the city was 12 degree Celsius, while the lowest was measured at 2 degree Celsius on Saturday.
The summary of the nationwide weather forecast, according to the Met Office, says mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however isolated rain with snowfall over the hills is likely in Kashmir and the adjoining hilly areas. Foggy and misty conditions is likely in the plain areas of Punjab and KPK during next two to three days.
