7 killed in various incident

A 22-year-old woman died in a hospital on Tuesday a day after she swallowed poisonous pills at her paramour’s house in Irrigation Colony in the Musfatafabad Police Area.
The police said Majeedan alias Sonia of Kanhanpur Kasur reached the house of Waqar Shah to see him on Monday evening. Waqar’s family, however, told her to leave since Waqar was not at home. Quoting the victim, police said she was given some substance and was dragged out of the house by Waqar’s father Syed Bakht Baidar Ali Shah, his wife and daughter.
Police said the woman who fell unconscious was shifted to Mayo Hospital where she died. Police registered a murder case against three family members on the victim’s last statement before death that she was served poisonous substance. Police shifted the body for autopsy and took Baidar into custody.
FOUND DEAD: A 24-year-old man was found shot dead in front of a factory in Nishtar Colony Police Area on Tuesday. Some locals informed police about a body lying opposite to a local factory located in Azam Chowk. Police arrived at the scene to find the man dead with multiple bullet wounds. Police said five bullets had been fired at the man yet to be identified.
MINOR’S BODY: A premature baby was found dead near Science College on Wahdat Road on Tuesday. A Rescue 1122 ambulance responded to an emergency call and handed the body over to the Iqbal Town police. Police said the baby was apparently a six-old-month fetus and unidentified person(s) had thrown it away after an abortion.
BOY RECOVERED: Nawab Town Police recovered a 4-year-old boy on Tuesday who was abducted on Monday evening. Chung ASP Jahanzeb said the victim, identified as Abdul Rehman, was kidnapped by some unidentified person on Monday evening. The boy’s mother named Perveen Bibi informed the police on Rescue 15 and got a case registered under under section 363 of PPC. The complainant implicated her neighbor named Fatima alias Sania.
The police team grilled the accused woman during which she confessed her crime and said that she had given the child to her friend named Shahida of Chungi Amar Sidhu. She further said that the loss of her three children had pushed her to kidnap the minor.
QUACK KILLS CHILD: An eight-year-old boy died when a quack administered a wrong injection on him in Factory Area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ahsan, a son of Naeem of Bank Stop Chungi Amarsadhu. The victim’s family members blocked the traffic by placing the body on the road and chanted slogans against the quack. Factory Area police have registered a case against the quack doctor Mohammad Younas.
ROBBERY CUM MURDER VICTIM DIES: A 22-year-old youth expired in a local hospital on Tuesday, four days after he was shot and wounded by two robbers in the limits of Qila Gujar Singh police station on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Majid Nazeer of Qila Gujar Singh area. Police said the victim Majid along with his friend was standing outside his house four days AGO when two armed robbers snatched a cell phone from him at gunpoint and fled away from the scene. Majid chased them, upon which one of the two robbers fired shots at him.
ACCIDENT: A 30-years-old man was crushed to death by a speeding tractor trolley in the Chuhan Police Area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Ahmed, 30. The locals caught the tractor driver and handed him over to the police.
SWINDLING: A 50-year-old man died at the hands of some unidentified swindlers in Lorri Adda area on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Mir Asghar. Police suspected that some poisonous substance served by some swindlers had claimed his life.
MUJAHID SQUAD: SP Mujahid Squad Cap (R) Romail Akram on Tuesday ordered the installation of standard emergency lights at police pickets. He directed DSP Headquarters to prepare a feasibility report in this regard.
