Delhi’s rugby team leaves for home

The Delhi Lions Rugby Club on Monday left for their home country after playing a number of matches here. During their five-day stay in the city, the Delhi team played Friendly rugby opener, Rugby Seven Tournament and the Lahore-Delhi Cup. They were able to win the opener while stood third in the tournament. The team official before leaving said that they were going back with lots of memories and love.
“We were here to win hearts and in return we are taking back lovely memories and hospitality,” said the Indian team manager. “We came here for the first time but now feel we should come to Lahore more often,” he added. The team was seen off by the Punjab Rugby Association officials at the Lahore-Delhi Bus stand.
