Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan killed 10 Baloch separatists in a day-long operation in the Chamalang area on Monday. According to a report from Chamalang, close to Loralai district and restive Kohlu Marri district, the Balochistan FC launched a fresh operation against Baloch separatists after an increase in separatist attacks, particularly a raid which killed 15 FC personnel, including a major.
Reports said 10 separatists were killed and dozens injured during clashes with FC troops. Reports confirmed deaths and casualties among FC Balochistan troops but security forces refused to confirm. An independent report claimed FC personnel were establishing a checkpost in the Bhalwal area of Musakhail district, close to the restive Kohlu Marri district when Baloch separatists attacked them. Reports on Monday suggested that multiple people had been arrested during the operation and shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation. However, FC officials refused to comment on either aspect
of the operation.
