Federal Law Minister Maula Bux Chandio on Monday said the issuance of contempt notice from Supreme Court (SC) to Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani was not an ordinary thing.
Talking to media here, he said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will hold consultations over the notice issued by the apex court in National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case.
Chandio said that the government would react over the Supreme Court orders after consultation with the experts. He said whatever would be done would be in accordance with law.
A high level meeting was held in the Prime Minister’s house following the court orders attended by senior PPP leaders and federal ministers including Raja Pervez Ashraf, Khursheed Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira and others.
Those who keep harping about Democracy and continue to either berate the Army or the Judiciary or both, must learn to respect the Law and Principles of Democracy.
