Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) General Secretary Qari Sher Afzal said that it will be a heinous political mistake of former president General (R) Parvez Musharraf if he returns to the country on the behest of anti-Islamic powers.
The JUI-F leader observed that Musharraf is allegedly involved in the Lal Mosque operation, and the murders of former PM Benzair Bhutto as well as former Balochistan CM Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, among other crimes and would have to face its backlash whenever he returns.
Replying to questions at a press conference in Kamra Cantt, Afzal said that PPP is weakening due to the ineffective policies of President Asif Ali Zardari, while PML (N) has been losing its credibility due to the mysterious silence of Mian Nawaz Sharif. Qari Sher Afzal said, however, it is his good efforts to submit the matter of Memogate before the apex court which has led the country to an embarrassing situation before the whole world.
