  1. He’s a joker. He thought the Jan 10 order was passed by the CJP. Such an important decision against him, and he hadn’t even read it or knew who passed it. If only he and his govt. had delivered to the people, they would be out on the streets to support him, not vice versa.

  2. After ridiculing judiciary for two years, he is now offering to step down. What a shame.

  3. If the PM resigns, what will happen to the ongoing mega projects in Multan? Lets have them completed first!

  4. He and his party should be trailed for not governing well and be charged like the ICC has fined Dhoni for low overrate. this would be a great example for future governments,

Leaving them as they are, would drown the country.

Long live Judiciary for playing its real role.
Waiting for other state bodies to play theirs too.

  5. I think his family has no more pockets to fill and if they try to push more the seams could tear! Better go home safely and prepare for the next feast.

  6. Is the suggestion by Mr Gilani a mechanism to absolve him, his party and especially Mr Zardari for being tried for the corruption charges! If this is the case, I can see Mr 100 per cent Zardari willing to sacrifice the sitting PM. However, if by him resigning means that the case still has to be entertained and he will still have to attend before the Surpeme Court, then what purpose is there in resigning. Infact, by him resigning is further proof that the corruption allegations are fully substantiated.

  7. I am now sure that Gilani doesn't get it. Appearing before the SC at its direct order is not something you can decide to do or not to do. YOU MUST OBEY. But then, showing arrogance is the Hallmark of this (mis)administration.

  8. All his political carrier from Zia to AZ he has been used by others but he has taken full advantage for himself and his family while being used. He is not PM stuff. He may have below av IQ but good in corruption. It is unfortunate for the country that we had to see people like him at the helm of affairs. God help Pakistan and give strength and wisdom to SC to get Pakistan rid of these looters.

  9. Parliamentarians are not willing their actual role. Instead they remain busy in muncipal level politics – politics of plots, permits, building sewerage, etc and also chose not to allow local govts. Parliament has never in the history of Pakistan, turned down any govt appointment to a high office. Parliamentarians are slaves of their party leaders rather than leaders of their respective constituency.

It is sad that SC had to intervene. But if the trial court, which is parliament remains a puppet by never having tried any incumbent, the SC is the only forum left to try those in power.
