Microsoft owner Bill Gates on Monday offered condolences to Arfa Karim’s father over death of youngest Microsoft Certified Professional.
In his message, Gates said he was saddened to learn about Arfa’s death. Gates said Arfa was a genius student and he was shocked over her death.
It is pertinent to mention here that upon hearing about Arfa’s illness, Bill Gates had hired a panel of doctors to extend medical treatment to her and even offered to her father to shift Arfa to a Dubai hospital.
Meanwhile, after the sad demise of teenage computer ace Arfa Karim, the Sindh and Punjab governments have resolved naming Media City in Karachi and Technology Park in Lahore after her.

  1. Arifa has saddened the entire nation. We lost an invaluable asset. Unimaginable qualities were gifted to Arifa By Allah Almighty. She was pride of Pakistan. May Allah rest her soul in eternal peace and give fortitude to her family to bear this irrararable loss. Pitty on Media, who had been doing so many programms on photo shoot of Veena Malik, did not give due importance to Arifa. Can media be si callous towards innocent fairy Arifa?.

  10. I first met Arfa at the Dubai Iternational airport; she was on her way back fter meeting with Bill Gates.I think her mom and her aunt were with her, Im not sure, but she had the laptop Bill Gates gave her. She was sitting across from us as she confidently relayed all this information. Ofcourse, I didn't quite believe what she was saying at that time-and I thought, "what a brat!". Later when we read about her in the papers, I made sure I showed her picture and talked about her achievements with my kids who remembered her from the airport. Today, as I sit at my desk at a university in Canada, I have gooseflesh as I read about her demise. She had so much potential…I do not know what happened to her but I do know this: our Pakistani childrenare in need of a role model, and I hope wise people in the media realize that she is one and relay this to our younger generation by the strong and influential tools that they possess.
