Majalis held, Zuljinah, Alam and Tazia processions taken out

The chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his diehard companions was observed in the federal capital on Saturday with religious spirit and devotion.
The main procession was taken out from Imambargah Isna Ashri G/6-2 in which a large number of mourners participated.
On the occasion, majalis were held and Zuljinah, Alam and Tazia processions were also taken out. Speakers, in their speeches, said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) offered a unique sacrifice at Karbala for the supremacy of Islam, Shariah and humanity as a result of which oppressed nations launched independence movements today. He said Pakistan came into being in the name of Islam.
Strict security arrangements were also made by the Islamabad police to ensure foolproof security. A police spokesman said that over 1,200 cops, eight special Quick Response Force teams of Rangers, CID and special branch of police were on duty to ensure proper security to the chehlum processions of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS). He said the federal police had chalked out an elaborate security plan for the occasion and strict patrolling was also ensured through an effective coordination among the personnel of law enforcement agencies.
