With the addition of 54 new buses, 111 international standard buses will be operational on different routes of Lahore, Busco Foton Chief Executive Joe Verghese said addressing the management, workers and staff of the company on New Year’s eve. He said Busco Foton has provided the best CNG buses in the world specifically designed for the Pakistan market, local, climatic condition, social norms and technical specifications. He said the company will be able to overcome all impediments in bus operations.. He said the contract between the Punjab Government and Foton had been executed due to the Chief Minister’s support and cooperation from Lahore Transport Company. He said the buses were providing environment friendly transport to Lahore. He hoped that Punjab Government will resolve the students and CNG issues soon. He said the fare for AC buses was in accordance with the approved and notified list issued by the government. He said the Punjab government’s urban transport reforms had allowed Busco to provide international standard buses in Lahore.

PMLN should review their decision of importing CNG buses. They better go for other alternate fuel buses. Importing these anymore is like burning money for nothing. Should use their common sense
