Two Baloch among four gunned down

Two Baloch youth were gunned down by unidentified assailants in the Quaidabad area on Thursday. The duty officer at Quaidabad police station said that more than three armed motorcyclists opened fire at the two men identified as Haroon, son of Hassan, and Mohammad Ismail, son of Hashim, in Siddique Goth near Kala Board, killing them on the spot. Haroon was stated to be a rickshaw driver. After the incident, relatives of the deceased Baloch youth staged a demonstration and blocked the Shahrah-e-Faisal. The protesters later dispersed when the police assured them of arresting the attackers.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The victims had suffered multiple bullets.
Police have registered a case against unidentified suspects and initiated investigations. In another incident in the Quaidabad police limits, a 35-year-old man was gunned down by two unidentified assailants. Police said that two armed motorcyclists intercepted Javed and shot him dead in Zafar Town. The motive behind his murder could not be established.
Separately, a teenage girl fell victim to the firing of unidentified gunmen near the Qasba Morr in Orangi Town. Sixteen-year-old Zainab suffered bullet wounds in firing and succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, police said.
BODY FOUND: The body of an unidentified youth was recovered from Lyari in the limits of Kalri police. Police said the man appeared to a Pakhtun and was found from a ground near the naval flats in Lyari.
SUICIDE: An 18-year-old girl committed suicide in the limits of Mobina Town police.
The girl identified as Sehar committed suicide by hanging herself with a fan in the Shalimar Flats, police said. She died instantly, however, her family refused to provide the details of the girl and the exact reasons behind her death over privacy concerns.
ARRESTED: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested a most-wanted activist affiliated with the banned sectarian outfit, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). On a tip-off, a police team, headed by SP Mazhar Mashwani, launched a raid and arrested the accused identified as Riaz Afghani. The arrested LeJ activist had a reward of Rs 5 million on his head. The police also recovered two locally made hand grenades, two TT pistols, a repeater and over 100 rounds, according to the CID.

  1. Balochs are being hunt and killed everywhere in Pakistan by Paki criminal fascist army and MQM thugs and gangsters. This must stop. Baloch has every right to defend themselves and they should do so.
