PTI willing to talk to all except PML-N: Imran

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is ready to talk to every political party except the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which has betrayed the PTI twice in the past, party Chairman Imran Khan said on Thursday.
He said the PML-N was equally responsible for the current situation of the country and it had betrayed the PTI in the 2008 general elections and during the long march for the restoration of judges. He said the PML-N was just raising anti-Zardari slogans, but was supporting the government behind the curtain. “If the PML-N is sincere with the people of Pakistan, it should resign from parliament immediately,” Imran said.
He said that people were very much aware of the political set up and wanted immediate change in the country. “The system will not be derailed, instead it will get more strength if the present government goes,” he said.
“We will not support any coup and will not tolerate any extra judicial step,” the PTI chief said, adding that those who were derailing democracy were attacking the judiciary. “The Supreme Court is respected in every country of the world, but the current government is not ready to respect the verdicts of the apex court,” he lamented.
To a question, Imran said everyone was accountable and no one was above the law. He said the SC was not a party and the government should do whatever the court asks. He said if any conspiracy was hatched against the SC, the PTI would stand by the court and take to the roads in its favour.
He demanded the government write a letter to the Swiss government for reopening graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. The PTI chief said Zardari was trying to hide his corruption. “The damage done to the country through the NRO is before the entire nation. NRO granted immunity to the biggest of robbers. Small robbers are in jails while the biggest looter has become president of the country,” he said.
