Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan Friday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency to assure the latter of his support.
According to a private television channel, the ANP chief said his party will ensure to offer the government a way out from the present crunch.
Asfandyar Khan confirmed to President Zardari that his party will stand with the coalition government at every cost.
The two leaders discussed at length the set up of the coalition government and others issues besetting the present coalition dispensation.
Obviously, all thieves are going to support each other!!
i have great respect for Mr. Asfandyar Wali and I believe that he truly believes in democracy and is nationalist but i am completely at loss to figure out his outright and unconditional support for PPP. I agree that it is secular party and Mr. Wali has soft corner for it and see it as a natural ally but the governance Mr. Zardari has provided and the damage he has done to PPP is tremendous. All the army coups and various governments could not do what Mr. Zardari has done to PPP. Mr. Wali may consider a request and give a second thought.
