Akram-Haq discuss Memogate Commission hearing date

The counsel of American-Pakistani businessman Mansoor Ijaz on Friday asked Attorney General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq to push forward the date of the hearing of the Memogate Commission.
According to a private television channel, Akram Sheikh, Ijaz’s counsel, suggested pushing forward the date of the Memogate Commission hearing because two cases of great importance, i.e. National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case and Memogate case, are scheduled to be heard on January 16.
“The proposed options in connection with the NRO implementation case are not meant for the government; instead, these are for the Supreme Court,” Haq noted.
The AGP further said, “We will plead the court not to bring any of these options under discussion.”
