Sufi storms into Pakistan Cup final

Sufi Group reached the main final of the Pakistan Polo Cup while and HBL made their way to the classification encounter to be played here at the Lahore Polo Club’s ground on Sunday. Sufi group had an easy sailing to the final of the tournament as they beat Hataff 10-6 while HBL struggled to beat Pakistan Air Force 7-6. Taimur Ali Malik with his four goals led HBL win and Raja Samiullah provided the required support scoring two goals and Raja Temur Nadeem contributed one. Shaukat Ali Malik and Waqas Niazi shared three goals each to lead the losing team’s total. On the other hand, all the four riders of Sufi Group contributed to the win with major share coming from Shah Qublai Alam and Saqib Khan Khakwani while Sufi Muhammad Haris and Sufi Muhammad Amir added one goal each. Hataff’s striker Sameer Habib Oberoi led their charge with ample support coming from Agha Murtaza Ali Khan and Hashim Kamal Agha. Shah Shamyl Alam, Ahmed Zuabir, Santiago Mendivil and Omar Asjad Malhi supervised the matches.
