The demise of Pir Pagaro is a national loss and he will be remembered as a spiritual and religious leader and a political sage for a long time to come. This was stated by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi. In his condolence message over the death of Pir Pagaro, Sangi said Pir Pagaro was a true Pakistani, adding that the contribution of his family in the Pakistan Movement and his own input for the defence of country in 1965 and 1971 would always be remembered. Sangi paid rich tribute to Pir Pagaro and termed his death a great loss for the country and nation. He further said Pir Pagaro was not only a politician but also a mentor of political leaders, including of even those who were not in agreement with him on political affairs. He said a condolence reference had also been scheduled to be held today (Thursday) at Nusrat Bhutto Auditorium.
