Delhi Lions Rugby Club on Thursday beat Lahore Rams Rugby by 19-14 at the University of Mangement and Sciences (UMR) ground here. A big crowed witnessed the match and in the end chief guest Rizwanullah Khan, General Manager Coca Cola Pakistan and Rector UMT Hassan Shuaib Murad, President PRU Fawzi Kawaja, Sec Pru Arif Saeed and other officials met the teams. In first half Delhi boys started fluently. Autar Manu managed a tri score getting five points and then Devender scored another try score. After that Sarib scored a conversion and got two points. Lahore Rams added two try scores in which Haji Anwar was instrumental.
After first half Delhi led the match 12-7. In the second half both the teams played splendid rugby but again Delhi boys played better and Devender again scored a tri score. From Lahore Haji Anwar scored a tri score. By the end of match Lahore tried but did not get success and Delhi Lions rugby club won 19-14.
