Protecting institutions is necessary today: Fazl

Protecting institutions is a matter of prime importance in the present situation however; democratic process should be consistent to protect the democracy in the country, said Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Molana Fazal ur Rehman.
He said this during his visit in the national press club to congratulate the newly elected members of the club.
“The foreign policy of Pakistan not remained independent after 2001 however JUI (F) would forward recommendations in the National Assembly regarding independent foreign policy,” Fazl said.
He said international powers trying to tear down image of Pakistan in the world adding that JUI (F) realizes that all political parties should sit together and proper strategy needed if some parties want general elections before the time.
While replying to a question he said that JUI (F) want free and fair poll in the country and election commission should be independent for this purpose.
Talking about PTI he said that no Tsunami can change the circumstances in the country rather only a movement can do so. He said that political statements worsened the issue of memo gate scandal. “Decisions of Judiciary should speak but not the judges, “he added.
To another question, he said that establishment never remained out of the politics rather some times it worked on the scene and some other time it worked behind the scene.
He said that relations with Mutahidda Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) are on the same pace and JUI (F) making faithful efforts to revive MMA’s status but there is some compulsions in this wake.
He said that present situation in the country have no relationship with giving MFN status to India. Most favorite nation status to India would not affect the Kashmir dispute, he added.
He said that bringing peace in the country and strengthening the economic condition of Pakistan is the manifesto of JUI (F).
