Ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan has been admitted in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Karachi, according to media reports.
His son, Arif Mehdi, was quoted as saying that the ghazal legend was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a bout of obstructive breathing disorder.
Doctors have decided to keep him under observation for now.
