Indian hackers break into DGPR site

A group of Indian hackers-India Cyber Army (ICA)-hacked the Punjab Directorate General of Public Relations (DGPR)’s official website (www.dgprpunjab.com) on Tuesday.
The ICA hackers broke into the web server’s security and defaced the website home page and the directory tree. Speaking to Pakistan Today, Punjab Public Relations Director General Tahir Raza Hamdani disclosed that the Indian hackers used the denial-of-service (DoS) technique on the web servers, which could not sustain the massive attack. He assured that the data remained secure as the provincial government had made backup arrangements.
He said the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman had been informed about the hacking attack and the PITB officials were working to restore the website as soon as possible. However, the website had not been made functional till the filing of this report.
