Hataff, Sufi Group notch wins in Pakistan Polo Cup

Hataff and Sufi Group registered wins on the opening day of the Sufi Group Pakistan Polo Cup that saddled into action here at the Lahore Polo Club on Tuesday.
Hataff edged ahead of HBL by one and-a-half margin which it enjoyed as a handicap otherwise they would have lost.
But by the close of play Hataff won by seven-and-a-half goals to seven goal difference. Hashim Kamal Agha and Sameer Habib Oberoi shared three goals each for Hataff while the unfortunate quartet of HBL got their score through Raja Temur Nadeem who managed four goals while Taimur Ali Malik had two and Raja Samiullah hit in one.
Sufi Group edged ahead of Pakistan Air Force 9-8 with Shah Qublai Alam playing the major role in the Sufis’ win by scoring six goals while Saqib Khan Khakwani got the remaining three.
The losing side PAF had Waqas Niazi shine through with five goals with Shaukat Ali Malik getting two and Sattar Niazi one.
The matches were played under the supervision of Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana, Ahmed Ali Tiwana Omar Asjad Malhi and Santiago Mendivil.
