Criminals arrested, contraband seized

The Islamabad Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 15 outlaws, including four women from various areas of the city, and recovered 100 liquor bottles and 1.1 kilogramme of hashish from their possession.
A police spokesman said Sub-Inspector Tahir Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Nasir Manzoor from Aabpara Police Station arrested Mehmud Masih and Khurram Masih and recovered 100 bottles of liquor.
Sub-Inspector Muhammad Afras from Tarnol Police Station arrested a drug trafficker Abbas and seized 1.1 kilogramme of hashish.
On a tip-off, Sabzi Mandi Police Station SHO Abid Ikram raided the House No 207, Street No 21 in Sector I-10/1 after getting a search warrant and arrested twelve persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. They are identified as Aamir, Ghazanfar Mehmud, Sohail, Ali Azeem, Ghazanfar Hussain, Iftikhar, Abdul Latif, Hameed, Sana, Mehwish, Ayesha and Kashi.
Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway for more revelations.
Meanwhile, Islamabad SSP Muhammad Yousuf Malik has further directed all police officials to intensify efforts against anti-social elements.
