The academic staff at various colleges of the city on Tuesday protested against the government on not considering their demands.
The teachers’ community also observed a complete boycott of classes and held protests against the Punjab government, saying it was not serious in addressing their issues.
The teaching staff under the banners of the Punjab Professor and Lecturers Association (PPLA) announced that they would continue their protest till fulfilment of their demands, including scale up-gradation. The main protest by the PPLA was held at the Islamia College Cooper Road, where they refused to conduct classes and delivered speeches against the government.
