The second day of the LUMUN 2012 conference marked the beginning of the committee sessions. The debate began at 9 am, in the morning, and was in full swing till 5 pm in the evening. All the seventeen committees had a very high attendance, unsurprisingly. The topics of debate ranged from discussing flood relief issues, to refugee camps, to Global Zero and nuclear disarmament. The committee chairs were pleasantly amazed with the level of debate. The sessions ended and the delegates moved to the first in-conference event of LUMUN 2012, a panel discussion on moving towards sustainable development. The panel had environmentalists, social activists, and economic experts of the field who proposed solutions and suggestions to promote the cause of sustainable development to an eager audience of hundred of delegates. After a serious day of intense debate and productive discussions, the delegates finally got a chance to put all their tensions and tiredness aside and revel in the glory of attending a concert of Ali Azmat, the guy who brought us Junoon. The excitement level was unparalleled as Ali drove the crowds crazy with his undeniably energetic stage presence.
