The Punjab University (PU) Syndicate and faculty on Monday unanimously announced trust in Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for the appointment of PU vice chancellor. The Teachers’ Front (TF) organised a meeting of the PU faculty at the PU Old Campus, where the deans, directors, chairmen and teachers of all 73 departments were present. The PU syndicate and faculty members asked the CM to ignore the propaganda of the pro Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) teachers as they were launching a negative campaign to appoint a VC from their group.
