The price of fertiliser has increased in Punjab after hike in the price of gas and petrol, the dealers have said. The fertiliser price has risen up to 210 rupees per bag and now is available at Rs 1,800 now, they said. The price of urea has increased due to 27 percent increase in the gas prices.
The farmers said that they were facing problems due to the increased prices of fertilisers as it has become difficult to earn bread and butter without increasing the prices of food products. The prices of food products and cement could also be increased in the near future, the market sources said.
