The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has sought a reply from the principal of University College of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Lahore, within seven days on the issue of unpaid house officers. YDA General Secretary Dr Salman Kazmi had filed a petition with the Federal Ombudsman on the matter of unpaid house officers and said the varsity was forcing the doctors to work without salary in violation of the regulations of the PMDC.
