Sayed Abdul Rashid, the chief of IJT, on Monday said those, who misbehaved with PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Punjab University in 2007, had now joined his own team. He accused Imran of being a part former dictator Pervez Musharraf’s team and said they would take a legal action against the PTI chairman after holding meetings with shura (the highest consultative body). Rashid was talking with the IJT activists at the Central Secretariat, they condemned Imran, who in his recently-launched book alleged that the IJT got money for torturing and misbehaving him at PU.
‘IJT promoting extremism’: Provisional president of ISF Farrukh Habib on Monday described the IJT as a radical organisation, saying it promoted extremism in the universities. He said former IJT chief Nasrullah Goraya and Attiq-ur-Rahman, who were involved in manhandling PTI Chairman Imran Khan, were enjoying good positions in the JI and Shabab-e-Milli. He alleged that the IJT received money from Pervez Musharraf to murder Imran, adding that it was the JI which helped Musharraf extend his regime by endorsing the LFO in the NA.
