ISI Director General Shuja Pasha is willing to attend an in-camera session of the memo commission and give a briefing. It is stated in a letter written to the commission which adds that ISI DG can brief the commission at any convenient time.
The letter was delivered to the commission by Colonel Khalid from the ISI. Responding to the letter, the head of the commission Justice Qazi Faez Isa said that if the ISI DG wanted to provide information, he should do so via a sealed envelope.
Earlier, Pakistan’s ex-ambassador to US, Hussain Haqqani recorded his initial statement before the memogate commission on Monday.
The commission recorded the statement of Husain Haqqani in question and answer manner in the commission room.
In the statement, Haqqani once again refuted drafting and delivering the memo to Admiral Mike Mullen. He recorded the statement as Pakistan’s former ambassador to US.
