Gas and electricity load-shedding notwithstanding, the residents of Outfall Road, Sant Nager are also facing an acute shortage of water, Pakistan Today learnt on Sunday. Though the shortage of gas and power has become a hallmark of almost all areas of the city, the absence of WASA water supply to Street 55-A (Haq Bahu Street) is had to understand. The residents, in a press release, said a WASA tube well was located right next to their area however they were not being provided with water, adding that they had to face hug problems because of lack of water. They said they were not being supplied water even during the hours when there was electricity in the area. They condemned WASA’s casual attitude and requested Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take note of the situation.
