Unknown armed men killed a policeman while he was returning from duty at US Consulate here late Sunday night.
According to police, unidentified gunmen opened fire at Sub-Inspector Anwar Sheikh on Mai Kolachi Road. The deceased received three shots and died on the spot.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for postmortem.
SSP Baldia said the bullets found from his body are of Kalashnikovs and investigations whether he was targeted or hit by stray bullets were underway.
