I will return on 28-29January: Musharraf

Former President and head of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Pervez Musharraf announced to return Pakistan on January 28 or 29. He also made public that he would contest election from Chitral.
Addressing a public rally at Karachi via telephone on Sunday, he said that new faces are required to change the system. The APML Karachi rally would be proved an earthquake instead of Tsunami, which would put impact on the politics of the country, he maintained.
He said that his party after winning the elections, would issue national identity cards to the immigrants came from Bangladesh. They are patriotic Pakistanis who sacrificed altogether for Pakistan. He said that he has backing among Punjabis, Sindhis, Baluchis and Pathans equally.
He said that he would accept the invitations from Chitral to contest general elections. He hoped that people would give vote to his party in the general polls. He said that he is in favour of Hazara province and if he would get a chance to serve the people, he would make it.
He said that Karachi is the engine of Pakistan’s progress. The development of Karachi is actually as par with moving Pakistan forward. He said that Karachi always remained near his heart.
He said, “During his regime there was the era of prosperity and the country was getting development in every field. We send-off IMF and investment was at its peak”. He added now the people are weeping to see the economic condition of the country. The prices of daily usage kitchen items have gone out of reach for the people. The poor man is forced either to commit suicide or to sell his children.
He said that the country is facing acute energy crises as there is not any electricity or gas. The trains and planes are going to shut down. Pakistan has tangled in the grip of IMF and people are fleeing out of Pakistan.
He said that some elements would be confused on his return to the country and they would try to put impediments in his way but he would not be frightened. He can even sacrifice his life for the sake of Pakistan and its people.
