Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that no issue would be discussed with President Asif Ali Zardari and his government would consult the Supreme Court on gas crisis in Punjab, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.
Shahbaz Sharif, along with his delegation, reached Lahore from Turkey via Dubai. The plane could not land on time at Lahore Airport due to fog and was delayed by 1.5 hours.
While talking to media, Shahbaz told his visit to Turkey was of great importance in the backdrop of foreign investment in the transport sector. He told that metro bus service with the help of a private Turkish bank would soon start in many cities of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the provincial government would soon go to the Supreme Court over the prevailing gas crisis in Punjab and that no issue would be discussed with President Zardari.
He said further that solid waste management machinery would soon reach Lahore from Turkey and the project would also be expanded to other cities of the province.

  1. Supported the PPP Government for four year while the nation was crying for help, now that we have found Imran Khan and elections are approaching PMLN has all of a sudden decided to wake up and use their CJ to revitalize their election campaign.

  2. Mr. Sharif will get a desired ruling from Chief Justice as it is impossible to imagine that CJ can give and verdict against the wishes of SHARIF BROTHERS. After all both brothers had done a great favor to CJ by restoring him. and poor CJ will keep returning this favor all his life. But here i am clueless how CJ will make it happen that his verdict on gas issue is being implemented. I think he can request to SHARIF BROTHERS to assure the gas supply to all people and SHARIF BROTHERS can perform wonders in this case as they did in 2009 when they left no stone upturned to provide sugar at the rate of 40 PKR per KG as Ordered By Supreme court. it is a totally different matter altogether that Sugar from whole Punjab province was vanished into thin air and did not return back until the price was accepted at 80 PKR per KG. I hope this time it would be different.
