Professor Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Jadoon, who was selected by the search committee for the slot of Punjab University vice chancellor (VC) earned PhD and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. He has completed one year postdoctoral research fellowship in Human Resource Management at the University of Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom. Presently he is a professor of Public Administration in the PU Institute of Administrative Sciences. He also holds Honourary Professorship in the Stirling Management School. His career in higher education spans over 32 years, with a blend of teaching, research and administrative experience in Pakistan and abroad. Dr Jadoon has been the dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences for 3 years, director of the Institute of Administrative Sciences for 10 years, director of the Human Resource Centre, registrar and Public Administration professor since 1996. He was also a member of the Syndicate, Finance and Planning Committee and various other statutory and non-statutory committees/bodies. He has also kept pace with the latest developments in his professional field – public administration and management. He has taught at several renowned universities of the US and UK, including the University of Southern California. He is a member of prestigious professional bodies, including the Academy of Management, British Academy of Management and American Society of Public Administration.
